Hatch Green Chile Stew
1lb Ground Beef or Pork
2 lg chopped potatoes
1 lg garlic clove
1 16oz can chopped tomatoes
1 16oz jar Chile Traditions Green Chile
Fry meat well done. Drain off excess fat. Add potatoes, garlic and chile. Add 2 cups water, let boil until potatoes are soft. Season to preference and serve.
4 beaten eggs
salt (to taste)
pepper (to taste)
garlic powder (to taste)
corn meal or flour
Roast fresh green chile. Peel roasted chile under cold water. Make a small slice in top of chile and fill with colby jack cheese. Dip your stuffed green chile in the eggs then roll in flour or corn meal. Deep fry relleno for approximately 3 1/2 minutes or until golden brown and cheese inside is melted. Let cool and serve.
Chile Relleno Burrito ( Balloon Fiesta's favorite)
Make chile rellenos and green chile stew. Lay a relleno on a tortilla. Pour green chile stew over the relleno. Add grated cheese, roll up, and serve. The Best.
Chile Traditions green chile seasoning
Add 1oz CT green chile seasoning to
1 1/2 cup sour cream and 1/2 cup
mayonnaise mix refrigerate for 30 min.
